Pichi Voice Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Who is responsible

Aspirity Inc is responsible for Pichi Voice for iPhone and iPad. Contact hello@pichi.ai about this policy or your personal data. This policy covers the mobile app. The Pichi website and web service also have a privacy policy.

Recording and transcription on your device

Pichi Voice uses microphone access to record conversations and runs speech recognition on your device. You can use local recording and transcription without a Pichi account. Local use does not automatically upload your recordings or transcripts to Pichi.

  • Saving audio and speaker labels are on by default.
  • Location and sensitive-data redaction are off by default.
  • You can turn off audio storage while keeping a transcript.

Local data can include audio, transcript text, meeting titles, dates and duration, language, participant labels and names, and your settings. Only record or share conversations you are authorized to process, and provide participants with any required notice.

Models, dictionaries and your voice profile

Before first use, and when you select additional features, the app may download speech or text-processing models from Hugging Face or FluidVoice model servers. Download hosts receive normal network information such as your IP address and requested file. A model download does not send them your meeting audio or transcript. See the Hugging Face privacy policy for that service's practices.

Dictionary words, corrections and supported pronunciation examples are stored locally. Pronunciation examples may include audio and its text. If you choose to enroll your voice, the app creates a local voice profile to label your speech. This profile is not included in Pichi cloud meeting uploads. You can delete dictionary entries and the voice profile in the app.

Optional recording location

If you enable location and grant iOS permission, the app requests your location once when a recording starts. It can store coordinates, accuracy and an address with the meeting. Apple's geocoding service receives the location to resolve the address. The app does not use this feature for continuous background tracking. You can disable it in the app or revoke location permission in iOS Settings. Apple's services are subject to the Apple privacy policy.

Pichi account and optional cloud processing

Signing in sends your email address and password to the Pichi service at app.pichi.ai over an encrypted connection. The app receives account identifiers, your name and email, organization and workspace memberships, and access permissions. It keeps session credentials in the device's Keychain; it does not retain your account password there.

Automatic cloud delivery is off by default. You can enable it for a particular account, organization and workspace. That choice applies to future recordings and does not authorize uploading your earlier local guest history. You can turn it off for future recordings.

When enabled, the app sends a protected transcript and the metadata needed to store and assess it: meeting title, timing and duration, language, session, segment and speaker identifiers, participant names, and account and workspace bindings. This upload excludes recorded audio, voice-profile embeddings, original unredacted transcript fields and recording location. Automated redaction can miss information; titles, participant names and remaining text may still identify people.

Pichi stores the uploaded result in the selected workspace and processes its text to provide assessments. Authorized workspace users may access it. Cloud processing can use hosting and AI service providers selected for your organization's configuration. The Pichi provider information describes supported configurations; contact us or your administrator for the providers used by your workspace. A supported provider is not necessarily active in every workspace.

Exports, storage and deletion

When you export or share a result, the destination you select receives the exported content. Its storage and privacy practices then apply. Export choices can include information that you have kept locally.

You control local meeting history in the app. Deleting a local meeting removes its local meeting data; deleting only its audio keeps the transcript. Signing out is not an account-deletion request. Deleting a local result, or enabling deletion after a successful upload, does not delete the cloud copy.

Cloud records are managed separately through Pichi and your organization. Contact your administrator or hello@pichi.ai to request access, correction or deletion of account and cloud data. Retention depends on the service and organization configuration, deletion requests and applicable obligations. This policy does not promise an automatic expiry period for uploaded mobile transcripts.

Network information and your choices

Requests to Pichi, model hosts and Apple services expose the network information needed to deliver those services, including an IP address. Pichi may process service logs to operate, troubleshoot and protect its services. Recording locally does not require enabling cloud delivery, location or voice enrollment. The mobile app has no advertising feature.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal data, or withdraw consent to optional processing. Send your request to hello@pichi.ai. We may need information to verify the request and identify the relevant account or workspace. Your organization may also have its own data-handling rules.

We will update this page when these practices change and show the revised date above. Changes to this policy do not themselves enable optional features in your app.
